MINNEAPOLIS, April 25, 2013 – Capella University, an accredited online university* that has built its reputation by providing high-quality online degree programs for working adults, has announced the redesign of four online master's degrees and one certificate in its School of Public Service Leadership. The online university has also introduced a new, accelerated nursing pathway, the RN-to-BSN/MSN Combined Option.
"All of our new and revised programs feature significant time or cost savings for our students, usually both," said Scott Kinney, president of Capella University. "They're designed to deliver the high quality learning outcomes that students need to succeed in their careers, but they can be completed in less time and at lower cost, so students can put their new skills to work faster."
Streamlined public service master's degrees can be completed in 18 months or less The curricula for Capella's Master of Health Administration (MHA), Master of Public Health (MPH), MS in Homeland Security, and Master of Nonprofit Management and Leadership (MNML) have all been streamlined to allow the programs to be completed in as little as 18 months, sooner if a student has transfer credits. In addition, Capella's Nonprofit Management and Leadership certificate can now be completed in as little as six months.
Several feature significant savings over comparable online programs. For example, Capella MNML students can save up to $15,500 over the cost of a comparable online program1, and Capella MHA students can complete their degree up to six months sooner and save up to $9500 over comparable online MHAs2. All of the programs save at least $1200 over the cost of Capella's previous degree programs.
RN-to-BSN/MSN Combined Option saves $4,500 and up to six months time Capella's new RN-to-BSN/MSN Combined Option provides an accelerated pathway that allows RNs to earn both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in just over three years. Students also save $4500 in tuition costs compared to the cost of pursuing each degree separately. Capella's BSN and the MSN programs are both accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).** To qualify for the combined option, students must enroll in Capella's BSN and after completing 100 quarter credits of bachelor's-level course work, meet the requirements for enrolling in the combined option.
Enrollment now open Capella is now accepting enrollment applications for its new educational offerings. For more information, please call 1.888.CAPELLA (227.3552) or email info@capella.edu.
