This accelerated pathway allows RNs to earn both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in just over three years and save $4500 in tuition costs compared to pursuing each degree separately. Capella's BSN and the MSN programs are both accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)**.

Capella's combined option incorporates both the Essentials of Baccalaureate Education for Professional Nursing Practice and the Essentials of Master's Education for Advanced Practice Nursing established by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. To qualify for the combined option, students must enroll in Capella's BSN and after completing 100 quarter credits of bachelor's-level course work, meet the requirements for enrolling in the combined option. The streamlined RN-to-BSN/MSN Combined Option allows 12 master's level credits to be applied to both the BSN and MSN program requirements, saving $4,500 and up to six months time compared to earning each degree separately.
Capella Nurses Week $3,000 corporate alliance grant available to eligible enrollees
Employees or members of Capella corporate alliance partners are eligible for a $3,000 Nurses Week Alliance Grant when they enroll as new students and begin one of Capella's CCNE-accredited nursing programs by August 5, 2013. Eligible programs include Capella's BSN, which is the first step for students interested in the RN-to-BSN/MSN Combined Option, as well as Capella's RN-to-MSN, MSN, and Doctor of Nursing (DNP) programs. The grant can be combined with available alliance discounts to make the degree even more affordable.
