“Strayer University recognizes the unique learning needs of military members and veterans and is committed to offering the support and services military personnel require to achieve academic success.”
The MAE guide recognizes higher education institutions that go out of their way to give back to men and women in uniform. Institutions are selected based on five criteria: the number of American Council on Education credits the school will accept; Servicemember Opportunity Colleges participation; on-campus active duty/veteran assistance; support provided to the families of service members; and the sophistication and effectiveness of its distance-learning programs. The guide serves as a critical resource to service members and veterans seeking to further their education.
“We are delighted to be included again this year on MAE’s prestigious list of institutions that are committed to helping service members advance in their college careers,” said Dr. Michael Plater, President of Strayer University. “Strayer University recognizes the unique learning needs of military members and veterans and is committed to offering the support and services military personnel require to achieve academic success.”
Strayer offers scholarships, support programs and academic resources to active military service members, veterans and family members. In addition, Strayer campuses also serve as national testing centers for the College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) and DANTES Subject Standardized Test (DSST), which service members can take to receive academic credit.
Strayer University, a leading post-secondary adult education institution, offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs and classes throughout the year. The University offers flexible class schedules, convenient campus locations and online learning opportunities to support working students.
