Each year, NSSE collects information at hundreds of four-year colleges and universities about student participation in programs and activities that institutions provide for their learning and personal development. The results provide an estimate of how undergraduates spend their time, and what they gain from attending college. More specifically, NSSE evaluates the extent to which first-year and senior students engage in educational practices associated with high levels of learning and development.
The Presidential Management Fellows Program is a leadership development program for advanced-degree candidates. Finalists are eligible for an appointment to a federal agency. It is a two-year fellowship program that was created more than three decades ago by executive order with the objective of developing a cadre of potential government leaders.
"I am honored to have been selected as a finalist for the Presidential Management Fellows Program and am excited about the leadership development opportunities it will present to me, Dokes said. "To be able to serve my country in this fashion is both humbling and inspiring, and I eagerly look forward to what the future will hold."
