"Diversity is about honoring all of the ways we are similar and different," said Melissa Johnson, senior manager of diversity and inclusion at Best Buy, and a webinar co-presenter. "We will help webinar participants learn how to avoid negative labels and find positive ways to talk about differences." The webinar is intended for individual contributors and mid-level managers, she added.
Co-presenter Susan Larson of Best Buy co-chairs INCLUDE, which is a disabilities affinity group, and FACE (Facing Autism in a Caring Environment), which is a supportive community of Best Buy employees who promote awareness of autism spectrum disorders. Larson also serves on the board of directors for the Autism Society of Minnesota.
