MINNEAPOLIS, October 7, 2011 – WICHE Cooperative for Educational Technologies (WCET) has elected Sharyl Thompson, external regulatory affairs manager for Capella University (http://www.capella.edu), an accredited online university* that has built its reputation by providing high quality online degree programs for working adults, to its 15-member steering committee representing private/independent institutions. Thompson will serve a two-year term.
The steering committee is representative of WCET membership and makes recommendations on programmatic issues of interest to the membership. It also leads and/or contributes to activities in support of WCET's programs and membership, upon the request of the steering committee chair and executive director.
